Leidos Defense is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to support end-to-end software delivery for complex defense systems in Huntsville, AL.

Develop software for use in a Linux environment
Build and iterate in a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment using Jira and Gitlab
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to implement desired software functionality
Apply software best practices including peer review and unit testing
Debug and troubleshoot software in a HWIL (hardware-in-the-loop) setting

Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET-accredited university with 8+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 6+ years
Strong competency in C/C++ and Python
Experience across the software lifecycle
Experience with software best practices such as peer reviews, automated testing, and document generation
Experience collaborating with functional groups (for example: systems engineering, electrical engineering, test) to deliver a software product
Experience working in an Agile environment (or equivalent)
Experience using Jira and Gitlab (or equivalent)
Experience developing with a Qt IDE (or equivalent)
Experience developing in Linux
Familiarity troubleshooting/testing software in an HWIL environment
Currently living in Huntsville, AL or willing to relocate
Maintain an active Secret clearance

Experience with Buildroot and VMWare
Experience using Wireshark and developing software that communicates over UDP/TCP
Supporting and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Experience with DoD acquisition processes and methods

Location: Huntsville, AL (onsite)
Pay Range: $107,900 - $195,050 per year
Experience Level: 6+ years (minimum)
