Senior Software Engineer

Nuvarik Partners is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Wichita Falls, TX (onsite) to design, build, and improve software applications across the delivery lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new software applications, features, and capabilities
• Improve existing systems to increase performance, reliability, and scalability
• Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions
• Build and maintain APIs and application services
• Work with relational and non-relational databases
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Review code and provide constructive technical feedback
• Investigate bugs, system issues, and production problems
• Develop unit and integration tests
• Participate in system design and technical planning
• Support application releases and deployments
• Use Git and modern development tools during development and delivery
• Collaborate with product, QA, and other technical teams
• Document technical solutions and system changes
• Contribute to improving development standards and engineering practices
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other developers

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong experience with at least one modern programming language
• Experience building applications, APIs, or enterprise software
• Solid understanding of software design and development principles
• Experience working with SQL and databases
• Familiarity with Git and version control
• Experience with software testing, debugging, and code reviews
• Understanding of Agile development practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus
• CI/CD, Docker, or DevOps tools experience is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred
