Job Description
The Software Engineer role at Nuix is focused on building and enhancing critical software modules with a high level of autonomy. You will work within an Agile team, deliver scalable and reliable functionality, and support integrations across multiple projects.
Location and Work Model
This position is based in the Pittsburgh, PA (Greentree) office. The role requires attendance in the office at least 3 days per week. For the remaining days, you may elect to work either remotely or from the Pittsburgh office.
Responsibilities
- Deliver scalable and performant solutions as part of an Agile team
- Collaborate across teams to enable seamless integrations between multiple projects
- Develop software from approved designs and/or requirements, adhering to relevant standards and using Nuix’s software development environment effectively
- Deliver software via a mature continuous integration strategy
- Design, develop, and run unit, system, and integration tests for software components
- Participate in planning, backlog grooming, and technical design discussions
- Ensure code quality aligns with applicable coding standards
- Maintain and enhance application APIs, including GraphQL
Requirements
- 2-4+ years of experience in a similar role
- Strong software development skills in middle-tier technologies such as C#, Java, or Node
- Strong software development skills in a front-end framework such as React, Angular, or Ext JS
- Experience with cloud technologies, with preference toward AWS
- Familiarity with databases including MS SQL and ElasticSearch
- Ability to solve complex problems
- Commitment to good development practices, including writing unit tests, conducting code reviews, and meeting quality gates
- Interest in following Agile methodologies
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, Agile environment with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally
- Experience using AI technologies for software development (preferred, not required)
