Senior Software Engineer

Optum is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Optum AI to build and support web applications for United AI Studio (UAIS). This role includes delivering platform enhancements, participating in production support, and improving software development workflows using AI-assisted tooling.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications for United AI Studio (UAIS)
• Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver platform enhancements, production support, defect remediation, and modernization initiatives
• Apply AI-assisted tools to enhance development, testing, code review, and documentation workflows

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Experience building modern web applications using TypeScript, React, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and Git
• Strong understanding of responsive and accessible UI development, testing practices, CI/CD, and Agile delivery

Benefits and Compensation

The salary range for this full-time position is $91,700 to $163,700 per year. Optum also provides a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and a 401k contribution.

Remote Work Details

This role offers remote work from anywhere within the U.S. For all hires: Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area hires are required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
