Macquarie Group Limited is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to enhance analytics and rapid delivery capabilities for Commodities and Global Markets.

Deliver resilient, highly scalable technology through a hands-on coding approach, strong system design, and continuous improvement
Design, build, and operate distributed-compute and data-science platform components using best-in-class open-source frameworks and cloud-native services
Partner with quantitative analysts and trading desks worldwide to convert research ideas into production-ready solutions
Automate infrastructure using Python, Java, or Scala and embed AI-driven capabilities to support developer productivity and new insights

Advanced software engineering expertise in Python, Java, or Scala, including experience designing, building, and supporting production-grade distributed compute and data science platforms
Cloud engineering capability including AWS, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Helm
Experience with modern engineering practices including CI/CD pipelines, Bazel, Git-based workflows, Linux administration, and networking
Knowledge of analytics and AI technologies including Apache Airflow, Dask, JupyterHub, LLMs, agentic AI frameworks, MCP tools, and prompt engineering
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with a collaborative, inquisitive, and agile style working alongside quantitative analysts, traders, and other business stakeholders
