Senior Software Engineer (Medical Device)- 27505

Join FMK Corporation to build the core software capabilities behind clinical application architectures that support pre-, intra-, and post-operative domains. This remote role focuses on developing foundational, shared components for robotics and enabling technology, with a steady emphasis on research, engineering rigor, and maintainable delivery throughout the software development lifecycle.

What you’ll do

As a Senior Engineer, you will develop and evolve shared data management components that integrate into clinical application architectures spanning the full workflow (pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative). Your work will cover the full path from research and analysis through design, implementation, testing, and ongoing maintenance of reusable building blocks.

• Write and maintain source code for shared data management components that plug into pre-, intra-, and post-operative clinical application architectures.
• Participate in SDLC activities including code review, documentation, integration, testing, defect management, and code analysis.
• Deliver components that are feature complete and aligned with requirements and/or design specifications.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Software, Computer, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• C++ and Qt experience in a Linux environment.
• Experience with Python scripting and automation.
• Knowledge of SQL and SQLite databases.
• Demonstrated experience managing data architecture, including data models, formats, schemas, and databases.
• Experience working with 3D geometry; CAD modeling and mesh processing are a plus.
• Proficiency using IDEs and build systems with minimal supervision.
• Experience with revision control systems and practices aligned with CI/CD development.
• Familiarity with unit testing as part of the development workflow.
• Familiarity with data serialization and interchange formats, such as JSON.

Compensation & location

Pay: $80.00 - $85.00 per hour.
