Senior Software Engineer – Oracle PL/SQL

Zip Staff Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep, proven Oracle PL/SQL expertise to contribute immediately. This onsite role in Blue Bell, PA centers on building and supporting production-grade Oracle PL/SQL components and the data pipelines that depend on them.

You will design, develop, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, and functions, while owning features from technical design through testing, deployment, and ongoing production support.

Role Summary

• Design, develop, and support Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures/functions, data pipelines, and related production issues from day one
• Focus on advanced, hands-on PL/SQL work with end-to-end feature ownership

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and data pipelines
• Own features end-to-end, including technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support
• Write clean, performant, testable, and maintainable PL/SQL code
• Tune queries and database logic for performance and scalability
• Perform unit and integration testing and participate in code reviews
• Work within Jenkins-based CI/CD processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently
• Collaborate with engineering leadership and help raise the technical bar on the team

Requirements

• Strong, current, hands-on Oracle PL/SQL expertise (core focus of the role)
• Ability to be fully productive on day one with advanced PL/SQL development and debugging
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with significant PL/SQL development
• Proven experience with query development, performance tuning, stored procedures, and packages
• Experience with CI tools, with Jenkins strongly preferred
• Understanding of software engineering best practices (unit testing, code reviews, version control)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Clear written and verbal communication

Position Details
