Job Description

Join HCLTech in Redmond, WA, onsite, as a Signal & Power Integrity Engineer. This role centers on SI and PI analysis for high‑speed digital designs across board and package levels, working closely with design teams to ensure robust signal and power integrity. The position offers a competitive salary range of $83,000 to $158,000 per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package and a culture that prioritizes ongoing learning, collaboration, and clear growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct SI and PI analyses for high‑speed digital designs.
  • Apply core SI/PI principles, including transmission line theory and S‑parameter modeling.
  • Model memory interfaces (DDR4 / LPDDR4) at board and package levels using frequency‑ and time‑domain methods.
  • Simulate high‑speed serial interfaces at board and package levels, such as PCIe Gen3/4, SATA Gen3, USB 3.0/3.1, and display interfaces.
  • Assess and optimize Power Delivery Networks (PDN) with impedance profiling, IR drop analysis, and time‑domain characterization.
  • Extract PDN models for package and PCB rails and optimize decoupling capacitor placement and loop inductance analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve SI/PI issues and enhance overall design quality.

Requirements

  • 6–8 years of strong experience in Signal Integrity and Power Integrity.
  • Deep understanding of S‑parameters and modeling for single‑ended and differential interfaces.
  • Solid knowledge of PDN design, impedance analysis, IR drop, and time‑domain behavior.
  • Hands‑on experience with HSPICE.
  • Cadence Sigrity (2.5D and 3D EM – mandatory).
  • Keysight ADS.
  • Ansys SIwave & HFSS 3D.
  • Cadence PowerSI & PowerDC.
