Software Engineer
Job Description
Lockheed Martin's C2 Ground program seeks a Software Engineer to help design, develop, and integrate software that supports mission-critical operations. Working within an Agile and SAFe environment, you will contribute across the software life cycle to deliver dependable capabilities, with a hybrid work arrangement based in Littleton, Colorado.
Responsibilities
- Design, modify, develop, write, and integrate software for the target system using Agile methods.
- Produce source code for new applications or enhance existing ones.
- Conduct code reviews, optimize algorithms, and model experiments to verify functionality and performance.
- Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities.
- Apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
- Leverage knowledge of hardware and software and user-driven requirements to develop mission-critical software solutions.
- Identify and remediate program errors, prepare operating instructions, document development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions about intent, outputs, inputs, and controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Experience developing software in C# and C++.
- Proficiency with Git, Gitlab/Bitbucket, and JIRA.
- Experience in Agile-based software development methodologies.
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret DoD Security Clearance.

Security and Clearance
This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a US citizen for consideration.
Clearance level: Top Secret
Work Arrangements and Schedule
Ability to work part-time remote telework; the selected candidate will split time between remote work and a Lockheed Martin facility. Specific weekly arrangements will be discussed during the hiring process.
Schedule for this position: 4x10 hour days, with 3 days off per week
Location and Employment Details
Location: Littleton, Colorado (hybrid). The role supports Nationwide and OCONUS positions as part of the overall opportunity. Relocation is possible.
