Software Engineer

The Software Engineer role at NCR (NCR Voyix Corporation) is based in Atlanta, GA 30308 and focuses on delivering sprint feature work through effective testing and clear translation of business needs into development, test, and release plans. The position also includes technical leadership, quality advocacy, and support for defect diagnosis and resolution.

Salary

Annual salary range: USD 128,730 - 174,900

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, product owners, UI/UX, and other functions to support delivery outcomes.
• Participate in technical strategy discussions.
• Implement Sprint feature stories and unit tests, maintaining code quality and supporting minimum feature test coverage.
• Translate business requirements into a development/test/release plan and deliver the solution on time to the customer.
• Contribute to an effective software development lifecycle, with emphasis on customer support and root cause analysis.
• Conduct testing informed by knowledge of system architecture, interdependencies, and interactions.
• Estimate time and resources for software development and test efforts.
• Provide technical leadership and assistance to internal and external product development teams.
• Report on project progress on a weekly basis.
• Manage and track software defects, coordinating with the development team to support resolution.
• Diagnose and debug issues within the system and/or in downstream dependencies, working with other teams to resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Act as a quality advocate by supporting test driven/behavior driven development, the Definition of Ready, and achieving the Definition of Done.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering or a related technical field (or foreign equivalent) and two (2) years of software development experience.
• 2 years of experience understanding software architecture and system integration.
• 2 years of experience with Object Oriented Programing languages.
• 2 years of experience with software verification, validation, and testing.
• 1 year of experience mentoring junior developers.
• Demonstrated knowledge of agile methodology.
• Demonstrated knowledge of CI/CD tools.
• Demonstrated knowledge of version control systems (Git).
• Any combination of education evaluated by a professional credentials evaluation service to be equivalent to a U.S. degree will be accepted.
• Knowledge may be demonstrated through education, training, and/or experience.
• References required.
