Software Engineer III - Python Automation

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end software solutions, from design through development and debugging, applying innovative approaches to solve complex problems
• Write secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that integrate with related systems in real time
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure code aligns with defined design constraints
• Collect and analyze data from large, diverse datasets, building visualizations and reports to drive ongoing software and system improvements
• Identify latent issues and patterns in data, using insights to enhance coding hygiene and system architecture
• Engage with software engineering communities and events to explore new technologies and best practices
• Contribute to a team culture centered on diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
• Lead adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, with measurable validation standards and promotion of reusable patterns
• Utilize the SDLC toolchain and approved AI-assisted capabilities to maximize automation value at scale

Requirements

• 3+ years of infrastructure automation development experience
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in large enterprise environments with modern languages and SQL-like querying languages
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Strong grasp of agile practices including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
• Experience with software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (cloud, AI/ML, mobile, etc.)
• Experience leading the use of enterprise authorized AI-assisted development tools, with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security
• Knowledge of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; experience coaching others on compliant usage patterns
