Software Engineer - Networking Software and Services

Join the nssAI (Network Software and Services for AI) team in Palo Alto to help Network Development Engineers automate how production and ancillary networks are managed. You will build the software, services, and frameworks that increase reliability and speed across large-scale GPU supercomputing network fabrics used for AI training and serving customer inference queries.

What you’ll work on

As a Software Engineer on the Network Software and Services for AI (nssAI) team, you will take hands-on ownership of network management automation capabilities, including:

• Software and tools with extensive metrics coverage for large GPU supercomputing network fabrics
• Metrics collection and instrumentation that support monitoring and operational decision-making
• Configuration and zero-touch provisioning approaches
• Monitoring and auto-remediation for production and ancillary networks
• Frameworks and extensible tooling that streamline complex processes

You will also build systems intended to support orchestration at scale, helping power the team’s mission to accelerate human scientific discovery through AI.

How you’ll deliver

You will apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices to improve deployment pipelines and strengthen secure, robust delivery across production environments. The goal is to create dependable service infrastructure and automation-first workflows the network team can rely on.

What you bring

• Deep experience working daily with network engineers, with extensive knowledge of network topologies, physical and logical layouts, and network protocols
• Expert experience designing scalable, reliable software from the ground up that can build and orchestrate tens of thousands of network devices
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity, including the creation of metrics that help prioritize team focus and execution

Compensation and benefits

• $150,000 - 250,000 base salary (yearly)
