Job Description

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Level 5 Software Engineer/Product Owner to shape product direction and help development teams deliver features on schedule. Based in Aurora, CO onsite, this role focuses on backlog ownership, stakeholder alignment, and execution against high-value priorities. The position requires an active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility at the time of application.

This is a senior opportunity for an experienced engineer with strong Java background and demonstrated success working within Agile environments. The role also involves hands-on technical familiarity with modern development workflows and deployment technologies, including containerization and Kubernetes-related tooling.

Required Qualifications

  • Level 5: Bachelor’s degree in science with 12+ years of software development experience; 10+ years with a Master’s; or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility at the time of application.
  • 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
  • Firm understanding of version control using Git and workflows on GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
  • Demonstrated success with Agile processes.
  • Experience with containerization, Kubernetes, and/or Helm charts.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools.

Compensation and Location

  • Location: Aurora, CO (onsite)
  • Salary range: USD 177,000 - 265,600 per year
  • Travel: Yes, 10% of the time
