Software Engineer - Simulation
Job Description
The Software Engineer in Simulation at Northrop Grumman is based onsite in Palmdale, California. The role centers on designing, developing, integrating, and testing simulation software within an Agile framework to support next generation aircraft platforms. Collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams drives training simulations and enables flight software capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Contribute in a fast paced, innovative environment on a range of diverse assignments within collaborative teams at all levels.
- Engage in the complete software development lifecycle, from gathering requirements through design, implementation, qualification, and delivery to customers.
- Architect and build applications used in simulated training environments to support learning and operational readiness.
- Operate within Agile Scrum teams to produce software for multiple software baselines.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 2 years of related engineering experience, or a Master’s degree in STEM with no required related experience.
- Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle, including software design requirements, development, integration, testing, and deployment.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following languages or scripting tools: C, C++, or Python.
- Experience with two or more of these tools: Jira, Crucible, Bitbucket, Subversion, Bamboo, Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify, or Coverity.
- Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance or higher is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program clearance prior to starting employment.

USD 91,800 to 137,600 per year.
