Software Engineer Sr

Senior Software Engineer role with Lockheed Martin Space in Huntsville, AL, focused on THAAD Ground software development as part of the THAAD Planner Team and progressing through the SDP lifecycle with C/C++/Python skills, US citizenship, and an active security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support the software engineering lifecycle in line with the program Software Development Plan (SDP), including requirements analysis.
• Assist with object oriented analysis and design as part of SDP adherence.
• Contribute to coding and unit testing activities following the SDP.
• Support integration efforts in accordance with the SDP.
• Assist with formal testing and delivery activities under the SDP framework.
• Contribute to THAAD Ground software development as a member of the THAAD Planner Team.
• Coordinate with Ground Systems groups to ensure successful software implementation.
• Ensure adherence to master plans and schedules.
• Operate effectively in a creative, high tempo, collaborative, cross functional, multi-disciplinary environment.

Requirements

• Experience writing software in C/C++.
• Proven ability to write unit tests and integration tests across multiple runtime environments.
• Solid understanding of software development practices and software processes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Active Secret clearance; US Citizenship required.
• Understanding of Command and Control software and related development practices.
• Experience with Java.
• Experience with scripting.
• Experience with GitLab and Jira.
• Experience with test automation.
• Experience developing in a Red Hat Linux environment.
• Experience developing in a Windows environment.
• Familiarity with Agile Software Development processes.
• Security+ certification.
