Sr. Cyber Security Engineer

Own end-to-end OT and IT security architecture for smart factory systems and critical infrastructure. In this onsite role at Qcells in Cartersville, GA, you will set direction for continuous improvement across endpoint protection, firewall policy, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence frameworks. You will also lead real-time monitoring and incident response activities in partnership with the SOC, helping strengthen defenses where reliability and compliance matter.

What you’ll do

• Lead the design and enforcement of OT security policies across factory environments, using Stealthwatch for network visibility and anomaly detection.
• Architect and govern firewall rule sets and security policies with Cisco Firepower (FP) to support robust segmentation and controlled communications.
• Drive the strategy and operations of Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) programs with Symantec ATP, including tuning, escalation workflows, and continuous improvement.
• Own endpoint security standards and deployment at scale, including Symantec antivirus, EDR, and USB access controls.
• Lead incident response for security events, including root cause analysis, forensic investigation, and post-incident reporting to senior stakeholders.
• Establish real-time monitoring for security logs, alerts, and network traffic, and define escalation procedures across the SOC, including AI security policies.
• Define and enforce patch management strategies for operating systems and applications, supporting timely remediation and security baseline compliance.
• Run vulnerability management including scans, risk prioritization, and remediation tracking, coordinating across IT and OT teams.
• Oversee database access governance and privileged account management, ensuring least-privilege alignment and audit requirements.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity documentation such as policies, incident reports, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
• Provide thought leadership on emerging threats and best practices, translating threat intelligence into actionable security improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity deployment and operations.
• Experience deploying and operating security systems such as firewall, SSL VPN, and APT.
• Strong knowledge and experience in network traffic analysis and vulnerability management.
• Strong knowledge and experience with core security protocols such as OWASP Top10.
• Ability to comply with required deadlines with high reliability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience deploying and operating cybersecurity infrastructure in high-tech industries such as solar and semiconductors.
• Experience managing and operating network and security systems in a datacenter.
• Experience designing and upgrading cybersecurity systems, including DDoS, ATP, end-point, and firewall.
• Experience with security solutions such as Cisco Firepower, Stealthwatch, and Symantec solutions.
• Experience with large-scale cybersecurity operations and AI cyber security policies.
• High technical understanding of U.S. Protection Policy and the Personal Information Act.
