Sr. Data Engineer, Amazon Fuse

Amazon Fuse is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join its Data Analytics team at Amazon.com Services LLC in Seattle, WA on site. The role focuses on building scalable data pipelines and weaving AI into data workflows to influence Fuse's decisions with data driven insights. The position offers a salary range of USD 154,600 to 209,100 per year.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms and pipelines, incorporating AI tools to accelerate development and improve code quality.
• Ingest data from diverse sources using SQL, scripting, and AWS big data technologies.
• Create and deploy ETL pipelines and BI solutions, identifying opportunities to embed AI into data workflows such as validation and transformation logic.
• Partner with business owners, software development engineers, and BI engineers to identify new data sources and deliver insights.
• Keep current with advances in big data and AI technologies and contribute to pilot initiatives.
• Proactively detect and resolve data-related issues to reduce the team’s operational load, applying AI-assisted automation where appropriate.

Requirements

• 7+ years of data engineering experience
• Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
• Experience with SQL
• Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
• Experience mentoring team members on best practices
