Job Description

As a Senior Lead Security Engineer at JPMorganChase in Cybersecurity and Technology Controls, you will help shape cybersecurity architecture that supports secure delivery across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This role emphasizes practical risk reduction: you will identify and communicate risk and mitigation options, provide technical guidance to engineering partners, and drive AI-assisted security validation to improve control testing, remediation quality, and traceability for resiliency and auditability expectations.

Location: Jersey City, NJ (onsite)

Compensation: USD 175,750 - 260,000 per yearly

How you will make an impact

  • Guide evaluation of current cybersecurity principals, processes, and controls, and lead assessment of new technologies using established standards and frameworks
  • Influence peers and decision-makers to adopt leading-edge solutions when appropriate, grounded in the firm’s security expectations
  • Use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate cybersecurity risk analysis and control assessment, validating outputs and handling data according to sensitivity and security requirements
  • Provide technical guidance and direction to support the business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors, serving as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more focus areas
  • Partner with stakeholders and senior business leaders to recommend business modifications during periods of vulnerability
  • Actively contribute to the engineering community as an advocate for firm-wide SDLC frameworks, tools, and practices
  • Drive reuse-first adoption of AI-assisted security validation within SDLC and toolchain routines to strengthen control testing, remediation quality, and auditability

What you bring

  • Formal training or certification on cybersecurity architecture and 5+ years applied experience (NAMR/APAC – India/ LATAM/ Hong Kong)
  • Formal training or certification on cybersecurity architecture concepts and advanced applied experience (EMEA/LATAM-Brazil)
  • Singapore follow local country guidance
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering enterprise-level cybersecurity solutions and controls
  • Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to support cybersecurity architecture workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity
  • Ability to assess and validate AI-assisted security recommendations before adoption, escalating uncertainty and ensuring outcomes align to security, resiliency, and auditability expectations
  • Advanced expertise in one or more programming language(s) and/or applications, plus advanced knowledge of cybersecurity architecture, applications, and technical processes within one or more disciplines (for example: public cloud, AI/ML, mobile)
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
  • Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to select or recommend solutions for future-state architecture
  • Required threat modeling skills using MITRE ATT&CK, STRIDE, PASTA, etc.
  • Experience with Security Architecture review and design
