Job Description

Lead scalable data engineering that powers business analytics and operational reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and optimize scalable data pipelines and architectures for business analytics and operational needs
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to convert business requirements into technical data solutions
  • Build data integration, transformation, and data quality frameworks using modern ETL and streaming approaches
  • Apply data governance compliance by aligning data handling and storage with regulatory and ethical standards
  • Use cloud platforms and big data tools to automate data workflows and improve processing efficiency
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain data systems to support reliability and performance
  • Provide technical guidance on data modeling, storage approaches, and metadata management best practices

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in data engineering, including designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines
  • Strong Python proficiency and experience with ETL processes and big data technologies including Apache Spark, Hive, and Kafka
  • Solid knowledge of cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud, and modern data warehousing solutions
  • Experience implementing data quality frameworks and meeting data governance and regulatory requirements
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and automated deployment for data environments
  • Competence in data modeling techniques and metadata management across data platforms
  • Minimum education and experience options:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 4 years of experience in software engineering or related field
    • 6 years of experience in software engineering or related field
    • Master’s degree in Computer Science and 2 years of experience in software engineering or related field
  • Minimum experience: 3 years in data engineering, database engineering, business intelligence, or business analytics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility
  • Experience working with ETL tools and large data sets in the cloud
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 4 years of experience in software engineering or related field
  • Accessibility best practices

Compensation

  • USD 110,000 - 286,000 per year
