Staff Product Manager, Engineering Workflow Platforms

Lucid Motors is hiring a Staff Product Manager for Engineering Workflow Platforms. This role is based in Phoenix, AZ and requires onsite presence five days a week. You will shape how a complex engineering workflow platform evolves across the stack, set the bar for how product work gets done, and serve as the product voice for VP-level stakeholders when cross-functional process change is required.

What you’ll own

You will own strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for a major capability area within the engineering workflow platform. In partnership with the manager, you will also help shape the platform-wide roadmap, sequencing delivery against real vehicle program gates. You will be accountable for ensuring staffing and scope decisions map clearly to gate outcomes, including stating precisely which gates a decision causes us to make or miss.

You will stand up capability from zero by defining scope and phasing, then drive adoption and measurable improvements through executive forums such as Monthly Business Reviews and other executive settings. Reporting will cover adoption, data quality, and gate readiness.

How you’ll drive alignment and integrity

• Adjudicate source-of-truth decisions across systems that regularly disagree by defining reconciliation rules and resolving cases where teams want the same field to mean different things.
• Protect the integrity of the model against expedient one-off requests, with the ability to explain refusal in terms the requester can accept.
• Partner on trade-offs between what belongs in the data model, pipeline, application, or a process outside the system.
• Broker priority conflicts between functions with legitimate competing needs and drive decisions that hold.
• Represent the platform in program reviews and gate reviews to keep the roadmap tied to what programs need next.

Launches and org change

This position involves launches that carry real organizational risk. You will oversee phased rollout, pilot selection, readiness criteria, executive sponsorship, and a credible fallback if adoption stalls. You will also work with Training and Communications on enablement and change management to determine whether launches land.

You will set standards for product execution, including discovery, written definition, acceptance, AI tooling practices, adoption measurement, and stakeholder engagement. You will mentor colleagues and provide continuity coverage for portfolio priorities so the team is not dependent on any single person.

What you bring

• Substantial product management experience, including senior or lead ownership of an enterprise, internal platform, or business systems product with end-to-end track record.
• Demonstrated ownership of a system of record with responsibility for data correctness and downstream consequences.
• Proven ability to drive organizational change, including retiring entrenched processes or legacy tools and moving people who depended on them.
• Executive communication and influence at VP level, including making recommendations senior stakeholders may not initially want.
• Strong systems and data thinking: sources of truth, reconciliation logic, data modeling and taxonomy design, integration latency, and failure behavior when systems disagree.
• Excellent written communication, including strategy documents, decision records, and proposals that can be acted on without you presenting.
• Data literacy for independent work, including Jira and JQL, working SQL (or equivalent), and the instinct to interrogate numbers before repeating them.
• Experience owning roadmaps with hard external deadlines and real dependency structures, including phasing scope so value arrives before deadlines.
• Mentorship or practice leadership, whether or not you held a formal management title.
• Effective use of GitHub Copilot or comparable AI assistants across research, analysis, prototyping, and drafting, with judgment to verify output.
