Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• System Architecture & Design: Define and evolve the technical architecture across the stack, including frontend, backend, APIs, data, and cloud infrastructure.
• Technical Leadership: Establish coding standards, architectural patterns, and engineering best practices for the team.
• Team Management: Elevate the engineering team through mentorship, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and constructive feedback.
• Scalability & Performance: Design and maintain systems that scale reliably as the company grows.
• Hands-On Development: Lead by example with high-quality code contributions across the stack.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align with Product, Design, and Business stakeholders to realize a shared technical vision and seamless experiences.
• Technology Evaluation: Research and recommend new tools, frameworks, and best practices to stay ahead of the curve.

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years in full-stack development, with 2+ years in a startup environment driving 0→1 product efforts.
• Technical Skills: Deep expertise in front-end and back-end frameworks, including Vue, TypeScript, Tailwind, and Laravel/PHP, among others.
• Cloud & DevOps: Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices (AWS, Forge, or Azure).
• Architecture & Security: Proven track record designing scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.
• Strategy & Collaboration: Ability to balance hands-on engineering with high-level architectural planning and cross-team communication.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication and a collaborative mindset.

Compensation

Salary: USD 160,000 - 180,000 per year.
