Staff Software Engineer, Agent-Centric Data and APIs
Job Description
As a Staff Software Engineer specializing in agent-centric data and APIs for Google Cloud AI Agents, you will lead the design and delivery of data pipelines, APIs, and tooling across full-stack development within a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Compensation
Annual base salary range of USD 207,000 to 301,000, with a target bonus of 20%, plus equity and benefits.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership on high impact projects across the software lifecycle.
- Set priorities, manage deadlines, and oversee deliverables to align with program goals.
- Architect, develop, test, deploy, and maintain large-scale software solutions with a focus on reliability and scalability.
- Collaborate with partners across Google Cloud Platform to design and launch data pipelines powering GCP native AI Agents.
- Develop and deploy APIs and MCP servers to make data accessible to both first-party and third-party agents.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
- 5 years of full-stack development experience, across backend languages such as Java, Python, Go, or C++, and frontend technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS or equivalents.
- Experience integrating generative AI tools or large language model interfaces into workflows.
- Experience in software engineering for generative AI agents and demonstrated cross-functional collaboration.
