Responsibilities
- Lead and support an engineering team to analyze, design, and develop airframe structural systems
- Advance systems with advanced technology solutions
- Translate real world needs into technical specifications to deliver customer focused engineering outcomes
- Grow capabilities by merging finite element modeling with digital engineering to craft an airframe structural technical plan
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in civil or government aerospace environments
- 5+ years of experience with finite element modeling using FEMAP or Patran
- Experience leading multiple collaborative projects of varying scale to successful implementation
- Experience with CAD tools such as Catia or SolidWorks
- Ability to create or complete finite element models using loads data from the original equipment manufacturer or from structural test fixtures
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering

The Opportunity
This role blends technical expertise with strategic perspective to support national security missions, translating client environments into digital engineering and finite element modeling solutions that inform customer focused outcomes.
NICE IF YOU HAVE
- Ability to create CAD designs of aircraft primary or secondary structural assemblies, installations, and detail parts
- Top Secret clearance
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering preferred; Doctorate degree is a plus
CLEARANCE
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
COMPENSATION
The compensation range for this position is USD 112,800 to USD 257,000 per year, with actual pay determined by location, education, experience, and contract considerations. This figure represents a typical range and is one component of total compensation.

WORK MODEL
- Onsite: Work will be performed primarily at a Booz Allen office or a customer facility, with collaboration as required
- Hybrid: Regular work from a Booz Allen facility with potential visits to customer sites, aligned with leadership expectations and role needs
- Remote: If listed as remote, there may still be occasions requiring in-person work at Booz Allen or customer facilities
