Structural Engineer

Atlasforge Construction LLC. is seeking a Structural Engineer to serve as the primary technical resource for structural systems on active projects in Irving, TX. In this onsite role, you will analyze structural loads, develop designs and models, and help ensure structures are built to meet contract requirements, relevant building codes, and durability expectations.

Role overview

The Structural Engineer evaluates structural forces and supports material selection to promote long-term performance and code compliance. Your work will span structural design and modeling, coordination with project stakeholders, field verification through site inspections, and preparation of technical documentation for ongoing project needs.

Responsibilities

• Calculate dead loads, live loads, wind pressures, and seismic forces to size beams, columns, foundations, and slabs.
• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, or Tekla Structures.
• Coordinate structural plans with architects, general contractors, and MEP engineers to support integrated project execution.
• Conduct site visits to confirm adherence to contract documents and address unexpected field conditions.
• Review contractor submittals, verify shop drawings, and respond to RFIs.
• Prepare technical reports, feasibility assessments, material quantity estimates, and progress updates for the Project Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field.
• EIT certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, and SE license is a plus for complex structures.
• Strong working knowledge of building codes including ASCE 7 and IBC, along with structural analysis methods and CAD/BIM software.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in structural design phases and project coordination.

• Salary: USD 60,000 - 90,000 per year
