Systems Security Engineer

In Dedham, Massachusetts, General Dynamics Mission Systems is seeking a Systems Security Engineer to lead the design of NSA-certified cybersecurity devices. The role emphasizes real-time, multi-threaded embedded system architectures developed through Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) while maintaining security requirements across the product lifecycle. This onsite position is well-suited for engineers who operate effectively in defense-focused, high-stakes environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop specifications for mission-critical NSA-certified Cybersecurity devices
• Collaborate with software and validation engineering teams to deliver high-speed data solutions
• Develop real-time multi-threaded Embedded System architecture using MBSE tools and techniques
• Analyze and maintain system security requirements throughout the product development lifecycle
• Conduct trade studies, perform functional analysis, and design system security
• Identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field
• 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master’s degree plus 3 years of job-related experience

Clearance Requirements

DoD Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. Combined Salary Range: USD $124,216.00 - USD $132,000.00 /Yr. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
