Job Description

The Technical Product Manager II will oversee the Authentication and Authorization, Platform Engineering Standards, Common Services, and APIs domains within Delta Dental, guiding the full product lifecycle from strategy to market delivery. This role is responsible for defining and executing strategies, establishing measurable outcomes and KPIs, and collaborating across Platform teams to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Direct platform teams to maximize product value and maintain a cohesive lifecycle from concept to release.
  • Develop and implement product roadmaps, strategic direction, and development plans.
  • Advocate for product ideas and initiatives, shepherding them from concept through launch.
  • Define and monitor measurable outcomes and KPIs aligned with business goals.
  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to elicit requirements and translate them into actionable features.
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog to optimize resource allocation.
  • Conduct market research and track industry trends to inform product decisions.
  • Partner with development teams to ensure timely and high quality product deliveries.
  • Provide product expertise and guidance to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Ensure products meet defined quality standards and user expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of product management experience with a focus on technical products.
  • Proven track record of successful product launches and enhancements.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset with experience defining and tracking KPIs.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, agile environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience with authentication and authorization technologies is preferred.
  • Knowledge of platform engineering standards and APIs is an asset.
  • Demonstrated leadership and problem solving with a customer centric approach.

Job Description

The Technical Product Manager II operates within Delta Dental's Technology department, focusing on the Authentication and Authorization, Platform Engineering Standards, Common Services, and APIs domains. The role oversees the end to end product lifecycle, from strategy and roadmap creation to development and marketing. The successful candidate will define and execute strategies, set measurable outcomes and KPIs, and collaborate closely with Platform teams to align priorities and drive delivery.

Base Pay Information

Base pay range: USD 107,464 to USD 232,906 annually. Pay Grade 23. This range reflects a good faith estimate for new hires and may vary based on KSAs, related experience, education, certifications, and other factors considered during the interview process.
