Job Description

EVCO Plastics is seeking a Full Time Tooling Project Engineer for an onsite position in Oshkosh, WI. This role centers on planning and managing tooling projects, supporting design and fabrication activities, validating quality through inspections, and resolving manufacturing issues using data-driven troubleshooting and continuous improvement practices.

Role Overview

The Tooling Project Engineer will collaborate across functions to develop project plans and timelines, oversee tooling component design and fabrication, and ensure manufactured output meets required quality standards. The position also involves gathering and interpreting data to improve tooling performance and process efficiency, while implementing corrective actions when manufacturing challenges occur.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project plans and timelines
  • Oversee the design and fabrication of tooling components
  • Conduct regular inspections to confirm quality standards are met
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing process issues and implement corrective actions as necessary
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders by providing project progress updates and addressing concerns
  • Gather and interpret data to optimize tooling performance and process efficiency
  • Implement improvements and support a culture of continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

  • Plastics Injection Molding experience is required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in plastics injection molding is essential
  • Proficiency in CAD software for designing tooling components
  • Familiarity with project management tools
  • Strong analytical skills
