Water Resources Project Engineer

SuYash Consulting, LLC is hiring a Water Resources Project Engineer in Columbia, MD to support planning and design for water resources and site development projects.

• Lead planning and design for water resources and site development projects
• Train and mentor junior engineers and technical staff
• Coordinate with clients and internal team members
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for calculations performed
• Support proposals and business development activities
• Execute SWM design and related stormwater work
• Support erosion control and drainage design tasks
• Manage permitting needs tied to project scope
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using listed tools
• Provide NPDES-related services as applicable
• Apply GIS/CADD skills to project deliverables
• Perform MDOT SHA PRD and MDE Project Reviews
• Assist with construction cost estimating

Requirements

• BSCE in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• 5–10 years of experience (required)
• Stormwater/Drainage/ESC experience: 3 years (required)
• Working knowledge of modeling tools and techniques including:
  • TR-20
  • TR-55
  • HEC-2
  • HEC-HMS
  • ABSC0UR
  • HEC-18
  • HY-8

Preferred / Desired Experience

• Watershed assessments
• Stream assessment and restoration
• Water quality monitoring and/or modeling

• MS Office
• MicroStation
• InRoads
• TR-20, TR-55
• HEC-2, HEC-HMS
• ABSC0UR, HEC-18, HY-8
• GIS
• CADD

Knowledge / Licensure

• MS Office, MicroStation, and InRoads knowledge is a plus
• Professional Engineer (Preferred)

Compensation

• $90,000 - $135,000 per year
