Job Description
Garver is expanding its water and wastewater capabilities and seeks a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to join the team on site in Amarillo, Texas. The role focuses on designing water and wastewater facilities and generating the accompanying reports, studies, technical memoranda, plans, details, and specifications under the direction of a Project Manager.
Responsibilities
- Design a range of water and wastewater projects, including water conveyance and distribution (pump stations and storage facilities), wastewater conveyance and collection (pumping/lift stations and force mains), water and wastewater treatment plants, improvements and retrofits of existing facilities, and master planning for water, wastewater, and reuse.
- Prepare reports, studies, technical memoranda, plans, details, and specifications.
- Collaborate with clients to ensure service expectations are exceeded.
- Work within a multidisciplinary design team led by a Project Manager, alongside other engineers and CAD technicians.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, biological, chemical, mechanical, or environmental engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Two or more years of experience related to the design of municipal water/wastewater conveyance and/or treatment systems
- Engineers-in-Training (EIT) certification, or the ability to obtain within six months
