This early-career Project Engineer role sits in our Water and Wastewater Treatment team, supporting PFAS pilot studies, treatment evaluations, and the design of water and wastewater facilities. The role is hybrid in Atlanta with flexibility across multiple offices, including Atlanta, Duluth, Charlotte, and Raleigh, and it provides meaningful opportunities to develop your engineering judgment with seasoned mentors.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers and design teams in conducting PFAS removal pilot studies, evaluating treatment options, and advancing design projects
• Deliver conference presentations and client briefings on PFAS regulations, pilot testing methods, treatment performance, and design implications
• Contribute to the design, optimization, and planning of water and wastewater treatment facilities
• Perform hydraulic analysis, process modeling, and sizing of unit processes
• Evaluate conventional and advanced treatment options, including MBR, RO, and IFAS
• Support the preparation of design drawings, calculations, reports, and specifications
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, high-quality solutions
• Develop technical skills and expand engineering judgment with mentor guidance
• Learn the procedures and techniques needed to execute projects effectively and efficiently

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of related water treatment experience; PhD experience acceptable
• EIT certification; PE licensure not required at start but expected within two years of employment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria, with readiness to exercise individual judgment
