Lumijes offers a fast paced environment that values ownership and real impact. This senior software engineering role supports a platform underpinning real time robotics, 3D reconstruction, multi-spectral imaging, and edge NVIDIA Orin integration. Three openings are available in Gainesville, FL or Gulf Breeze, FL, with remote work considered for the right candidate. Competitive compensation ranges from $120,000 to $160,000 per year, reflecting the level of responsibility and the opportunity to shape critical systems.
Responsibilities
- Direct real time robot control including trajectory planning, motion execution, and hardware-sensor coordination guided by live 3D point clouds.
- Design and implement scanning paths that maintain steady standoff distances, ensure full surface coverage, and prevent collisions across diverse geometries.
- Develop and optimize a multi-sensor MIPI pipeline to process and fuse concurrent imaging streams from multiple channels.
- Construct accurate 3D surface models from point clouds and align multi-spectral images to these surfaces with high precision.
- Detect and compensate for small subject movements in real time to preserve system stability during operation.
- Push NVIDIA Orin/Jetson hardware to deliver real time performance using CUDA, TensorRT, and the JetPack SDK.
Requirements
- Five or more years of professional software development with a proven record of shipping complex products.
- Production experience with C++ and/or Python in high performance, real time environments.
- Hands on NVIDIA Jetson/Orin experience, including CUDA, TensorRT, and the JetPack SDK, applied under real constraints.
- Computer vision expertise with OpenCV, PCL, 3D reconstruction, and point cloud processing beyond basic tutorials.
- Robotics experience with ROS or ROS2, trajectory generation, and real time motion control.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS, EE, or a related field; AI modeling experience is a strong plus.
Technologies
- CUDA
- TensorRT
- JetPack SDK
- NVIDIA Jetson/Orin
- OpenCV
- PCL
- ROS/ROS2
Nice to have
- Medical imaging or dermatology application experience to inform clinical considerations.
- Multi-spectral or hyperspectral image processing background.
- Experience documenting software for regulatory review.
Who thrives here
We move fast by design and focus on prototyping, testing, and learning. There is no committee approving every technical decision, and no extended roadmap slowing you down. You own your code, the architecture, and the outcomes you deliver.
Apply
Skip generic applications. Show us what you have built and what you can do: a GitHub repo, a project you are proud of, a difficult problem you solved and how you approached it. What you can achieve matters more than a resume alone. Learn more and apply at lumijes.com/careers.
