Job Description
Based in Niceville, FL onsite, the Munitions Test Engineer supports the 780th Test Squadron on the TMAS contract at Eglin AFB, Florida.
Responsibilities
- Create comprehensive test plans and supporting documentation for an evolving weapons program.
- Forecast test assets and range requirements and act as the primary point of contact for test development.
- Coordinate with program offices and prime contractors to align test requirements.
- Serve as test director during mission execution.
- Deliver pre mission briefings and post mission debriefings to aircrew on mission requirements.
- Coordinate logistics for test equipment and related support assets.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required due to sensitive customer requirements.
- Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10 years of experience, including at least 6 years in Test & Evaluation (T&E).
- Active Secret clearance.
- Familiarity with instrumentation, range operations, aircraft, aircrew data and safety constraints associated with developmental test.
- Experience conducting developmental testing in a highly classified environment.
- Experience or familiarity with MRTFB testing at locations such as Eglin AFB, Nellis AFB, Edwards AFB, China Lake NAS, Point Mugu NAS, White Sands Missile Range, and other bases.
DESIRED SKILLS
- TS/SCI Security Clearance.
- Special Access Program experience.
