Agentic AI/AI Engineer - Generative AI & Machine Learning

Hudson Manpower is seeking an AI Engineer with a strong focus on Generative AI and traditional machine learning to migrate and enhance AI driven initiatives in a fast paced environment. This onsite role is based in Schaumburg, IL, with a compensation range of USD 40-50 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve applications that combine Generative AI with conventional machine learning techniques.
• Leverage Large Language Models to build and refine AI powered features.
• Design, build, and deploy intelligent agents to automate workflows and optimize processes.
• Partner with stakeholders to interpret business needs and translate them into concrete AI engineering specifications.
• Run experiments, adopt new technologies, and contribute to the rapid advancement of AI capabilities.
• Lead the migration of existing projects, including agents and LLM based components, to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Engage in full stack development with an emphasis on Python for backend services and React for frontend interfaces.
• Perform data analysis using SQL to query and manipulate data from MS SQL Server, MySQL, and other relational databases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in an AI or machine learning engineering role; proficiency in Python is required.
• Hands on experience with MCP, RAG, semantic search, Generative AI, LLMs, and building agent based systems.
• Ability to remain current with evolving AI technologies, including Agentic RAG concepts.
• Strong Python expertise for backend development and machine learning, plus solid React experience for frontend work.
• Solid SQL skills with experience in relational databases such as MS SQL Server and MySQL.
• Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform AI/ML services, including BigQuery and Google SQL, and related GCP APIs.
• Ability to quickly understand new requirements, experiment with new technologies, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
• Experience taking ownership of existing AI/ML applications that came from other teams.
• Ability to estimate high level cloud usage costs for applications hosted on GCP.
• Familiarity with functional and non functional testing of AI/ML applications and deploying them to production.
