The Team

The team you would join is dedicated to the design, development, and deployment of innovative enterprise technology, tools, and standard processes that support the delivery of tax services. It aims to provide comprehensive, value-added, and efficient tax services to clients. This dynamic group includes professionals from tax technical, technology development, change management, and project management disciplines, collaborating to deliver impactful solutions in a client-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Define and enforce best practices and coding standards across the project
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure guidelines are followed and code quality remains high
  • Work independently as well as in close collaboration with team members
  • Provide clear instructions to the team and help manage day-to-day operational flow
  • Maintain regular communication with the client
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable Python applications
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry standards
  • Optimize code for performance and scalability with efficient data handling
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Identify and resolve technical issues to ensure reliability and performance
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for code, processes, and workflows
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a productive team environment

Requirements

  • Hybrid work model requiring US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2 to 3 days per week
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a relevant discipline
  • 5+ years of development experience with demonstrated ability designing, developing, and maintaining robust Python applications
  • Hands-on experience in web development with FastAPI, including Pydantic for data validation
  • Strong skills in asynchronous and parallel programming with practical asyncio experience
  • Experience working in Agile environments and applying core design patterns
  • Proficiency in .NET Core, ASP.NET Core Web API, and databases (SQL/NoSQL, Entity Framework 6+)
  • Ability to travel up to 10% on average, depending on client work
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
