What this role offers
This onsite contract opportunity in Dedham, MA enables you to apply your Android OS embedded software expertise to NSA-certified cybersecurity devices for a DoD and aerospace client. The position provides a competitive hourly rate of USD 77, opportunities to lead technical initiatives, and collaboration across cross-functional teams throughout the full software lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and sustain mission-critical cybersecurity devices built on Android OS and custom hardware, aligned with NSA certification standards.
- Convert CONOPS, specifications, and requirements into robust software architectures, code, and test plans.
- Own and drive projects with minimal guidance, providing technical direction and leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver real-time, multi-threaded embedded software on Linux and Android platforms.
- Leverage model-based development tools such as Rhapsody and work with ARM virtualization extensions, hypervisors, and device drivers.
- Support long product lifecycles through ongoing maintenance, updates, and technology refreshes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree plus 3 years of experience.
- U.S. citizenship required.
