Avionics Software Engineer II

The Avionics Software Engineer II role at ENSCO, Inc. focuses on software integration and verification for embedded avionics flight control systems. Responsibilities

• Systems engineering focus on software integration and verification for embedded avionic engine and flight control systems.
• Collaborative work in a team environment with on-site and near-site opportunities.
• Operate in a test environment that uses VectorCast and Green Hills; similar tool experience is acceptable.
• Develop software in C or customer-specific scripts and run it in a lab environment on test simulation systems.
• Hardware integration and debugging knowledge is a plus but not required.
• Integrate software emulators and debuggers to control the system at the lowest levels of operation.
• Develop formal Requirements Based Test procedures as part of the role.
• Document requirements, test procedures, and results in a configuration management system with DOORS traceability to meet DO-178C standards.
• Work includes requirements reviews, software development, simulation testing, and system-level testing within an avionic lab environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2+ years of related experience.
• Experience with C and Linux shell scripts or similar software test scripts.
• Experience in formal requirements and the development of software test cases and procedures.
• Experience with hardware/software debugging on embedded control systems.
• Strong verbal communication skills for teleconferences with suppliers, clients, and colleagues.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in team environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required to be considered for this position.
