Job Description
Experis is hiring an Azure Data Engineer to join the Data Strategy team in Charlotte, NC, working onsite. In this role, you will help advance a strategic data platform for the Securities Group within a financial services organization, with a focus on Azure-based data solutions, pipelines, reference data, and data governance.
Role Focus
You will design and build scalable components of the platform, supporting strategic initiatives through reliable ingestion, processing, and quality controls. The work includes establishing reference data systems for securities and pricing data, alongside implementing frameworks that help ensure data integrity across the environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable data solutions on the Azure Cloud Platform to support strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish reference data systems for securities and pricing data.
- Implement and maintain data quality frameworks and governance tools to help protect data integrity.
- Use Azure Data Factory, Azure Lake Gen 2, Azure Databricks, and other Azure services to build robust data pipelines.
- Support active development of the data platform, maintaining alignment with internal standards and best practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software development, with strong experience in Python, PySpark, and related frameworks.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer with hands-on work in Azure cloud services.
- Strong working knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure Lake Gen 2, Azure Databricks, and Azure Databases.
- Experience with Data Quality Frameworks and Data Governance tools, including Collibra.
- Excellent SQL skills, familiarity with RDBMS and noSQL databases, and understanding of the DevOps lifecycle including CI/CD processes.
