Battery Engineer
Job Description
Work onsite in Liberty, NC supporting battery cell production readiness across multiple teams.
Responsibilities
- Own battery cell production preparation activities, including schedule and deliverable management across project plan stages
- Manage the process and equipment planning portion of the project lifecycle
- Support specification and procurement activities tied to production needs
- Coordinate installation activities and participate in trial support from start through validation
- Coordinate across functions within a large corporate organization, including production engineering, manufacturing, research & development, and Quality
- Provide reporting to senior leadership level as needed for deliverables and progress
- Interpret and apply product and process specifications, drawings, and related data to support execution
- Support new material introduction, validation activities, and confirmation
- Perform change point management and confirmation to ensure process readiness and alignment
Requirements
- 3+ years of equivalent engineering role experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in winding, cell assembly, and electrolyte fill for automotive cells (2+ years required; 5+ years preferred)
- Experience with battery cell product, processes/equipment, and/or trial activity
- Experience with Ryohin Joken identification, application, and/or confirmation
- Experience coordinating with production engineering, manufacturing, research & development, and Quality (or similar functions) within a large organization
- Ability to interpret and apply product/process specifications, drawings, and data, including new material introduction, validation, and change point management
- Ability to support weekend and shutdown work
- Ability to work overtime up to 25%
- Ability to travel domestic and international up to 15%

- $60.00 - $75.00 per hour
