Job Description

Work4ce Inc is seeking a Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and execution of complex civil and manufacturing projects for an automotive client, with a focus on battery production lines, scheduling, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration. This onsite role in Liberty, NC involves close collaboration with engineers, the construction management group, technicians, vendors, and general contractors to drive milestones from concept through launch. The position offers an hourly salary range of $55 to $84.

Responsibilities

Collaborate within a team environment to support other engineers, the Construction Management Group, technicians, vendors, and general contractors to meet project milestones.
Manage equipment procurement and plan installation through execution, commissioning, pre-production trials, and the launch of battery production lines.
Participate in advanced cleanliness protocols (clean room) required for the assigned battery manufacturing area.
Support battery manufacturing trials to verify equipment safety, quality, operability, and overall efficiency.
Identify punchlist items, conduct root cause analyses, and manage countermeasures.
Summarize KPIs, support mass-production handover, and assist with production issue resolution.
Engage with cross-functional teams (domestic and international) to address open items and align on schedules and milestones.
Create and maintain detailed schedules for assigned areas and manage budgets accordingly.
Complete required internal and external training.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field.
Experience in production preparation and execution of capital projects, preferably from initial strategy planning to the start of mass production.
Project management experience handling capital investments greater than $0.5M.
Experience creating and maintaining detailed schedules for manufacturing equipment installation.
Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings including building facilities and process equipment drawings.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Proficiency with 2D and 3D drafting software such as AutoCAD.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and shutdown periods (e.g., July and December) as project needs require.

Job Description

Controls Engineer role at Work4ce Inc focusing on PLC programming, electrical controls, and machine integration.

Responsibilities

Develop, program, troubleshoot, modify and repair PLCs, robotics systems, cameras, and related electronic equipment.
Diagnose and repair safety systems and machine components, including hydraulic and pneumatic subsystems.
Plan and execute machine integration into mass production, including leveling, tuning, and ensuring quality conformance for the assigned area.
Maintain documentation of work performed using written or electronic methods.
Apply problem solving to continuously improve safety, quality, and productivity.
Create a detailed schedule for the assigned area or project (denwacho).
Collaborate with Engineering in project planning.
Demonstrate the ability to learn new processes.
Support machine production trials at vendor sites and internally.
Certify equipment safety per MMR/MMS standards (NFPA79 and ISO) via a Safety Integrity Check.
Test and repair electrical equipment or systems, including circuits, relay logic, wiring, motors, servo drives, and related components.

Requirements

Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, or equipment installation and debugging experience.
Experience with electrical and/or mechanical systems in industrial manufacturing settings.
PLC programming experience, including reading, writing, and modifying logic.
Experience with servo motion controllers.
Experience with relay logic including wiring and troubleshooting.
Robotics experience including programming and troubleshooting.
Hydraulic or pneumatic troubleshooting experience and schematic reading ability.
Availability to work overtime, holidays, weekends, and shutdowns.
Domestic and international travel availability up to 30%.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience.
