Civil Engineer (2-4 Years Experience)
Job Description
Civil Engineer with 2 to 4 years of directly related experience, focused on designing, planning, and supervising civil projects in a hybrid Seattle-based role.
Responsibilities
- Actively collaborate with project teams to meet milestones on schedule.
- Assign tasks and coordinate with technicians and interns.
- Maintain organization and update Project Managers on progress.
- Perform basic stormwater calculations including detention, water quality, conveyance, and TESC.
- Understand basic water and sewer layout and design.
- Contribute to stormwater reports and be familiar with SEPA reports.
- Possess basic knowledge of King County and DOE stormwater manuals and recognize jurisdictional differences.
- Read and interpret topographic surveys and civil drawings.
- Mark up plans and interpret drawings from other disciplines.
- Utilize design aids and in-house resources; contribute to standards improvements.
- Additional duties and project work as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in a relevant discipline.
- 2–4 years of directly related experience.
- Licensure: Minimum EIT, pursuing P.E. license.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently.
- Ability to prioritize, manage time and projects, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective as an individual contributor or as part of a project team.
- Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication.
- Ability to collaborate with all levels of management, staff, and clients in diverse environments.
- Proficiency in the MS Office Suite.

Job Description
We seek a motivated Civil Engineer to design, plan, and oversee civil engineering projects, ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with applicable regulations and safety standards.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to drive to client project locations primarily in the greater Seattle area.
- Willingness to travel domestically by airplane for client projects, campus recruiting, conferences, etc.
- Prolonged sitting at a computer, keying and reading content.
- Occasional standing, reaching, bending, twisting, squatting, and general mobility in an office environment; may lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment.
