Civil Project Engineer

Entry-level civil engineering role in Cambridge, OH onsite, supporting senior staff with analysis and design tasks for steel structures and concrete foundations.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a Professional Engineer, perform calculations for structural steel and concrete designs, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and project specifications.
• Own the project scope, budget, and schedule; communicate scope changes, track deliverables, and coordinate technical information with other project disciplines to maintain alignment.
• Prepare and review detailed engineering calculations, design drawings, technical documents, and studies; develop and maintain associated site, architectural, concrete, and structural steel drawings.
• Coordinate and exchange technical information with clients, internal service groups, architects, owners, vendors, and third parties to resolve issues and support project success.
• Develop, train, and mentor drafting and design personnel within the department to build capabilities and ensure consistent design standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering (ABET-accredited) is required.
• 0-2 years of work experience with EIT, or 0-4 years of work experience without EIT.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) is preferred.
• Working knowledge of 3D modeling, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and structural modeling and analysis software is preferred.
• Proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• Must have good communication and analytical skills.
