Laurel, MD onsite Cloud Software Engineer Level 2 role focused on AI/ML for national security, building cloud-based AWS solutions and leading software research, development, and integration across the lifecycle.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field is highly desired and may be considered equivalent to two years of experience
- Five or more years of directly related experience in software development and engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution
- Must hold, or be willing to obtain prior to start, one of the following Cloud Developer Certifications:
- AWS Certified Developer-Associate
- AWS Certified Machine Learning-Associate
- AWS Certified Machine Learning-Specialty
- AWS DevOps Engineer Professional
- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
- A minimum of five years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution
- A minimum of four years of experience developing software with high level languages such as Java, C, C++
- Demonstrated ability to work with Open Source NoSQL products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation (examples include Hbase, Accumulo, BigTable)
- Experience with Map Reduce programming model and technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Pig
- Experience with Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS)
- Experience with serialization formats such as JSON and/or BSON
- Experience developing RESTful services
- At least three years of experience developing software for UNIX/Linux (Red Hat versions 3-5) operating systems
- Experience in requirements analysis and design of at least one object oriented system
- Experience developing solutions that integrate and extend FOSS/COTS products
- At least three years of experience in software integration and software testing, including developing and implementing test plans and test scripts
- Demonstrated technical writing skills and the ability to generate technical documents in support of a software development project

Details
- Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000 per year. Salary is determined by scope and responsibilities, candidate experience, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, location, and contract considerations. Depending on the position, overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus may apply in addition to base pay.
