Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field is highly desired and may be considered equivalent to two years of experience
• Five or more years of directly related experience in software development and engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution
• Must hold, or be willing to obtain prior to start, one of the following Cloud Developer Certifications:
  • AWS Certified Developer-Associate
  • AWS Certified Machine Learning-Associate
  • AWS Certified Machine Learning-Specialty
  • AWS DevOps Engineer Professional
  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
• A minimum of five years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution
• A minimum of four years of experience developing software with high level languages such as Java, C, C++
• Demonstrated ability to work with Open Source NoSQL products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation (examples include Hbase, Accumulo, BigTable)
• Experience with Map Reduce programming model and technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Pig
• Experience with Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS)
• Experience with serialization formats such as JSON and/or BSON
• Experience developing RESTful services
• At least three years of experience developing software for UNIX/Linux (Red Hat versions 3-5) operating systems
• Experience in requirements analysis and design of at least one object oriented system
• Experience developing solutions that integrate and extend FOSS/COTS products
• At least three years of experience in software integration and software testing, including developing and implementing test plans and test scripts
• Demonstrated technical writing skills and the ability to generate technical documents in support of a software development project
• Security clearance: TS/SCI with Poly

Details

• Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000 per year. Salary is determined by scope and responsibilities, candidate experience, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, location, and contract considerations. Depending on the position, overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus may apply in addition to base pay.
