Controls Engineer
Job Description
Controls Engineer role at Work4ce Inc focusing on PLC programming, electrical controls, and machine integration.
Responsibilities
- Develop, program, troubleshoot, modify and repair PLCs, robotics systems, cameras, and related electronic equipment.
- Diagnose and repair safety systems and machine components, including hydraulic and pneumatic subsystems.
- Plan and execute machine integration into mass production, including leveling, tuning, and ensuring quality conformance for the assigned area.
- Maintain documentation of work performed using written or electronic methods.
- Apply problem solving to continuously improve safety, quality, and productivity.
- Create a detailed schedule for the assigned area or project (denwacho).
- Collaborate with Engineering in project planning.
- Demonstrate the ability to learn new processes.
- Support machine production trials at vendor sites and internally.
- Certify equipment safety per MMR/MMS standards (NFPA79 and ISO) via a Safety Integrity Check.
- Test and repair electrical equipment or systems, including circuits, relay logic, wiring, motors, servo drives, and related components.
Requirements
- Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, or equipment installation and debugging experience.
- Experience with electrical and/or mechanical systems in industrial manufacturing settings.
- PLC programming experience, including reading, writing, and modifying logic.
- Experience with servo motion controllers.
- Experience with relay logic including wiring and troubleshooting.
- Robotics experience including programming and troubleshooting.
- Hydraulic or pneumatic troubleshooting experience and schematic reading ability.
- Availability to work overtime, holidays, weekends, and shutdowns.
- Domestic and international travel availability up to 30%.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience.
