Job Description

Clear Street is hiring an experienced Data Analytics Engineer for the Control Engineering team in New York, NY (hybrid) to automate Compliance and Finance regulatory processes.

  • Automate Compliance and Finance regulatory workflows
  • Design and build analytics solutions that process large datasets from the data warehouse to produce clean, correct reporting, including reconciliations
  • Partner with stakeholders across Compliance, Finance, and Treasury to understand regulatory and financial obligations and translate needs into scalable system designs
  • Provide technical guidance by prioritizing work, executing hands-on design and development, and performing code reviews
  • Help evolve technical standards and best practices

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software design and development experience, including CI/CD, source code control, testing, and quality management
  • Highly proficient in Python and SQL, with strong database design skills
  • Experience working with data warehouses such as Snowflake to deliver complex solutions at scale
  • Self-starter with a sense of urgency and eagerness to learn and explore new technologies to solve business problems
  • Strong communication skills to work clearly and concisely with non-technical business stakeholders, product managers, and engineers
  • Ability to troubleshoot, logically assess issues, and determine practical solutions

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience in post-trade automation, designing and architecting systems for complex data problems

Compensation

  • Base salary range: $150,000 - $225,000 per year
  • Base salary reflects starting base salaries for this role
  • Base salary is one component of total compensation and does not include bonuses or equity
