Job Description
Onsite Data Engineer role in Seattle, WA with Amazon Web Services, Inc., offering a salary range of USD 132,100 to 178,800 per year.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support a scalable data platform that enables ad-hoc access to large, diverse datasets for analytics and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from numerous sources using SQL, ensuring data quality and timely availability for stakeholders.
- Build robust and scalable ETL pipelines with SQL, Python, and AWS services such as Data Pipelines and Glue, emphasizing reliability and maintainability.
- Implement data structures following best practices in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and SQL/Redshift to support efficient BI and analytics.
- Interface with business customers to gather requirements and deliver complete reporting solutions, including documentation and data lineage.
- Produce high-quality datasets to support business analysts and customer reporting needs, including validation and versioning.
- Continuously improve reporting and analytics workflows, automating self-service capabilities for customers and contributing to platform roadmap.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3+ years of data engineering experience
- 2+ years designing and operating large-scale BI data structures using ETL/ELT processes
- 2+ years applying OLAP technologies to BI analytics data structures
- 2+ years performing data modeling for BI analytics
- 2+ years SQL development for BI analytics
