Data Engineer
Job Description
DCI Solutions is seeking a Data Engineer to join a cross-functional team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The role focuses on integrating data, turning insights into actionable decisions, and building applications that support operational outcomes. Candidates should have hands-on Spark, PySpark, and Pandas experience and hold an active security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on a cross-functional data engineering squad to tackle critical challenges
- Ingest and unify data, transform insights, and develop decision-support applications
- Establish transfers of data feeds from source systems into the designated data location
- Implement transformations and generate new datasets using Spark for distributed processing
- Track build progress and diagnose issues within the data pipeline
- Design software solutions that address operational questions
- Process RFIs related to the platform's data footprint
- Partner with product teams to debug and understand the platform's codebase
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Solid data engineering background
- Experience with Spark, PySpark, and/or Pandas
- Extensive coding experience in Python
- Proficiency in SQL, R, or similar languages
- Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures as they pertain to development
- Foundry experience preferred
- Active Secret Security Clearance is required
- Minimum 1 year of experience
