Data Engineer for Product Analytics at Meta in Menlo Park, CA (onsite), with a salary range of USD 114,000 - 173,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute data warehouse initiatives for a product or group of products to address clearly defined problems.
- Determine data requirements for business problems and implement the necessary logging to ensure data availability, coordinating with data infrastructure to triage and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to capture data needs and present key insights in a meaningful way.
- Develop domain data expertise and apply privacy, security, compliance, data quality, and operational controls for your areas of ownership.
- Design, build, and deploy new data models and visualizations in production using standard development toolkits.
- Independently design, build, and deploy new ETL processes in production, mentoring others on efficient querying.
- Support existing production processes and implement optimized solutions with limited guidance.
- Define and manage service level agreements for data sets in your ownership area.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with SQL, ETL, data modeling, and at least one programming language (for example Python, C++, C#, Scala, or similar).
