Sandoval Technology Solutions LLC is hiring an onsite Data Engineer/System Architect in San Antonio, TX. In this role, you will design and advance scalable data pipelines and supporting infrastructure, building reliable data foundations that teams can trust for data-driven solutions. You will also work with modern data engineering and cloud technologies, balancing performance, security, and maintainability.
What you’ll do
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines for processing and storing large volumes of data.
- Develop and maintain data architectures, data models, and metadata systems to support consistent, usable datasets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data systems and deliver solutions that enable better decision-making.
- Optimize and tune data platforms and workflows to improve performance and reliability.
- Implement security measures that protect data integrity and privacy.
- Stay current with the latest developments in data engineering and system architecture, applying new approaches when they add value.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or System Architect.
- Strong programming ability in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Hands-on experience with data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing.
- Familiarity with cloud services including AWS, GCP, or Azure, plus big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
