Distribution Engineer - Utilities

FindTalent is seeking a Distribution Engineer for an onsite role in North Mankato, MN supporting overhead and underground utility distribution design.

Responsibilities

• Perform conceptual, preliminary, and final design for distribution facilities operating at 4.16 kV to 34.5 kV
• Lead urban and rural distribution system design work for client projects
• Use PLS-CADD, Stakeout, or other distribution design tools for overhead distribution system design
• Create detailed staking sheets and supporting design documentation
• Develop overhead line designs using client-specific standards and RUS pole-top assemblies
• Assemble comprehensive bid packages for overhead line construction projects
• Design and implement underground distribution systems
• Ensure all designs comply with the NESC and other relevant codes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of experience in distribution line design, or a combination of relevant education and experience
• Proficiency in technical design and production of plan and profile deliverables
• Experience preparing staking sheets and supporting contracts and specifications
• Strong communication, organizational, and writing skills, with the ability to interface effectively with clients
