Job Description

Stanley Consultants is expanding its Federal team in the Indo-Pacific region, with an on-site Electrical Engineer based in Tamuning, Guam. This role focuses on electrical design development and coordination for military base facilities, airfields, and site design projects, requiring a PE license, 10+ years of experience, and a willingness to travel. A potential relocation to Guam for two years or longer may be part of the assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze client requirements and assist in creating specifications, drawings, instructions, and related documents.
  • Prepare and revise charrette reports and contribute to construction scheduling for projects.
  • Serve as a technical liaison, coordinating design components with other disciplines as needed.
  • Support pricing, estimating, scoping, and marketing strategies for proposed projects.
  • Consult with construction personnel on constructability, field conditions, sequencing, and scheduling of activities.
  • Participation in onsite or virtual client meetings may be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited four-year program.
  • More than 10 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
  • Electrical design in accordance with the NEC, including power for medium and low voltage distribution, mechanical building systems, and lighting.
  • Experience with UBC, DoD UFC, and UFGS; OCONUS military planning/design experience is a plus.
  • Work may involve campus distribution, building low-voltage systems, and potentially Asian voltage standards.
  • Electrical system analysis including load flow, short circuit, and arc-flash studies using ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower.
  • Experience with communication and security systems.
  • Ability to use or quickly learn remote collaboration tools; Microsoft Teams experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and REVIT is a plus for developing electrical system designs.
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques and the ability to read plans and specifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Willingness to travel within the Indo-Pacific region, about 15-20% per year.
